Night of Shining Stars

Tau watched as both Raad'u and Ruby fell asleep. The sun was setting:

and it became colder as time went on. She relized that she needed to find a cave or sleeping spot, other than the rock that they slept beside, but that would have to wait. She layed down beside them, and lay there thinking about what to do in the morning. She finally drifted off to sleep and remembered sometime during the night Raad'u scooting away from her. Same old Raad'u, she thought.

Morning came for Ruby earlier than her siblings. She was awakened by a bird that landed on the ground. It was red and black and was pretty.

It flew to a nearby tree. She watched as it would fly back and forth, getting closer to her. She stood up carefully, hoping not to awaken Tau. She followed the bird to the tree. It chirped and then flew off and stopped at anouther tree. She relized that it wanted her to follow it. She followed it all the way to a cave by the ocean side. It was a strange place, and she hoped the bird would take her back.

Several hours later, Tau awoke. The sun was up and it was warm. She looked around and spotted Raad'u curled up by himself. She didn't see Ruby though. Tau looked around the rock and then sniffed the air and ground for her scent. finally she found it leading away from their camp. She padded over to Raad'u. "Fur ball! wake up!" she said, patting him. "WHAT IS IT? Can't you see I'm trying to sleep. Stop it," he said, grouchily. "Come on, I'm taking you to Shelly's. You can sleep in her cave, I have to find Ruby." she said. He woke up stretching sleepily, following her to Shelly's cave.
