The Hunt of the Pecking Birds

Skylar bent his legs down, his stomach touching the rough grass. He could see birds pecking at the ground, considering there was barely any prey here. He pounced on one, to see it peck his muzzle. Skylar backed away and then spied on them. He pounced on the same one and then bit it before it had the chance to peck him again. He sat there and ate it, as the rest of the flock flew off to anouther part of the hunting grounds.

Rina was walking back to her home when she saw another lion.

Skylar sniffed the air, catching a scent. He crept through the tall grass and saw a lion. He smirked to himself at the thought of this lion's face when he popped out of the bushes roaring. He chuckled. Skylar crept on until he was right in front of the other lion. He pounced out and roared and then started laughing. He rolled on the ground and stared back up at her.

Rina was alittle shocked by the lion but sighed and shook her fur again."What was that for?"

He smiled and laughed. "Just to show that you shood always remain calm in a stuation," he said in a pretend voice.

Rina rolled her eyes and began to walk away from Skylar.

He bounced after her, playfully pouncing in front of her. He sheathed his claws and pretended to attack.

Rina was getting annoyed by the young male lion."What do you want?"

He suddenly took off laughing. He wondered if the lioness thought he was crazy.... haha he thought to himself.

"What a strange,crazy lion." Rina thought running off.
